Peter Keevash’s talk on combinatorial designs

This post continues our series of online seminars devoted to accessible presentations of some of the most significant mathematical theorems of the 21st century.

I am delighted to report that on 16th September 2026, Prof. Emanuel Milman delivered a beautiful lecture on multi-bubble isoperimetric problems. If you missed the talk, the recording is now available on YouTube.

The next lecture in the series will take place on Prof. Peter Keevash (University of Oxford, UK) will speak about Combinatorial designs. Prof. Peter Keevash is a leading mathematician whose work has had a profound impact on combinatorics and related areas. He is widely known for his groundbreaking results on the existence of combinatorial designs, resolving longstanding open problems such as the existence of Steiner systems for all admissible parameters. His work has introduced powerful new methods at the intersection of combinatorics, probability, and algebra. In this talk, he will discuss combinatorial designs, including recent advances, key ideas behind their construction, and their broader significance within modern combinatorics.

To join the talk, please follow the meeting link on the seminar webpage at the scheduled time; no registration is required. The same webpage contains the full list of upcoming seminars.
